Met Detectives are investigating an incident in Brixton which left one man with st•b wounds and five other people with sh•tgun pellet injuries.

At 01:27hrs on Sunday, 13 June, officers were called to a disturbance and reports of sh•ts fired in Ridgway Road, SW9.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service (LAS) colleagues and found a 32-year-old man suffering stab injuries.

He has been taken to hospital where his condition has been assessed as potentially life-threatening.

The victim had also sustained sh•tgun pellet injuries to his legs.

Three other males and two females also attended hospital with shotgun pellet injuries, primarily to their legs.

None is in a life-threatening condition.

Four of these five self-presented at hospital, and a fifth was taken to hospital by LAS from a location elsewhere in Lambeth at around 03:40hrs.

Enquiries are under way to establish the circumstances.

There has been no arrest at this early stage.


Brent Stop By Police

A man has been jailed as a result of a proactive vehicle stop in Brent which led officers to a Skorpion sub-machine gun, more than £200,000 cash, as well as class A and B drugs.

Azeem Ahktar, 29 (17.10.91), of Cooper Road, Brent, was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment on Friday, 11 June at Harrow Crown Court.
