Vice president Kamala Harris called 14-year-old Tyler Gordon the other night to tell him she loves his painting. No big deal. He's gotten calls from celebrities, politicians, artists and many more, usually after he paints their portrait. His story is unlike any other: born deaf and premature, he'd never touched a paintbrush in his life until God told him he had to use his gift or he'd lose it. Since that first brilliant portrait of his junior high principal, Tyler been on a roller coaster of recognition...but not without its own set of trials and tribulations.
